End of Chapter 1

This is the end of the blog. This blog has been mostly of knowledge and information, and some opinions. Well, I feel I have had some realizations that hold all of my past experiences in place, but also destroyed all of my unclear points. As you have seen on my last post, I talked about separation, and how that was the only problem in existence. There is no separation. As long as there is some separation, there is still enslavement.

If you now understand that the source of all fear and pain is separation and inequality, than you must now examine your own beliefs. We are all forgetting about ourselves, and are always looking for something bigger and separate from ourselves. We love the tyrant God. We love the Trinity. We love nirvana, we love Hindu deities. We love enlightenment and ascension.


You can see that these all run under separation as attainment and hierarchies. It makes things so complicated through separation! "Oh, please help me, I am a miserable sinner. Oh God, you are not me, you are greater than me. Please help me. I will worship you and do as you tell me to." We also have enlightenment, ascension, we have the Chart of the Divine Self. Yeah, all of this seems lovely and wonderful, but do you see any equality in any of it?

What happened to "all men are created equal?" Do we want to ascend so we are bigger than others? Do we want to be enlightened so we know more than others? Forget it. If we are all one, than how can someone ascend and keep the oneness and equality. It's just enslavement.

If we are depending on something else, it is still subject and object, it is still duality and separation. "The Selfless Self" suggests that we are being selfless by giving to others, but that is still separation. We are all, one, equal, and the same. We must stop listening to our mind of thoughts, feelings, and emotions, because they always change- thus separation. There is no God separate from you. There is no Holy Spirit talking to you.

There is only God as you.

Separation

Separation is the only problem in existence. Whatever comes from separation will not express reality. The core framework of human beings is based on separation, which is the source of all discord. From our everyday experiences to our religious belief systems, separation is always involved. Why is separation so harmful? It brings attention away from the only thing that undoubtedly exists: yourself.

Separation in no way can help. Yeah, you could say that America separating from the motherland is a good thing, but corruption could have never happened if there was no separation in the first place! To see any difference between two things leads to being subject to dualities. Duality never brings happiness because it is the rule that if you feel up at any time, you will consequentially feel down later. You cannot be eternally happy.

What is important to realize is that separation does not exist. If it truly did, then we could not escape our painful, stressful lives. But is actually impossible for unity to not exist. How could life itself be a horrible thing? We only forget that we are alive when we are dwelling in the mind of separation. When we step into a state of being, we feel our aliveness. And only then does everything become one and equal.

One thing that people do in attempt to escape their distress is become religious, but they are likely to be stuck in separation. It still takes them away from their awareness of being, and their attention is fixed to an object perceived outside themselves. God is the main example of delusional separation. How so? When we think of God, we do not tend to think of ourselves. We think of something out there, separate from us. But how can a power outside of you, out there, serve as a foundation for yourself, who is within, who is right here?

There is an aspect of Jesus that I believe to be true expression of his message. Where he speaks of unity and equality, of right here, instead of separation. The Kingdom of God is within you. I and the Father are one. He was speaking to Jews in a way that fulfills their law, so he must use the word God. He is saying that he is God, and people believe it. But you are that God as well! He has said it! Forget about the God who is there and not here. That view of God is the equivalent of believing in Zeus, or the "teapot orbiting the sun." That is the tyrant God seen in parts of the Bible. There is no evidence. It is separation, and only brings about fear.


Speaking of fear, whenever you practice prayer or meditation, do not even think of anything separate from you. This could bring about the fear of demons or personal guilt and inferiority. A weak presence comes about from the belief of a Father, Son, or Holy Spirit outside of you. It pulls you away from the reality, which is only that of being. The awareness of unity and equality comes from realizing that you are everything. There is no evidence of an existing God or hell through belief or faith, but only a manifested thought form of that belief. Perfection comes when you finally realize the "I AM THAT I AM" that you are, with no separation or division involved.

Wisdom of the Living Luminaries

I took notes on the documentary called "Living Luminaries." Some of the bulletpoints below are actual quotes from the movie, and some of them are summarized points. Enjoy.

• God has the answer to every problem the moment it occurs.
• We need to become the people who have the wisdom to let God work through us.
• Don’t believe yourself or someone else, but learn to listen.
• Joy is found in the present moment, when you’re truly listening.
• Lies exist only because of the belief that they are true.
• “I” is an illusion. You are not nothing, but you are no-thing. You are a formless presence.

• Materialistic desires will never bring us perfect happiness.
• Addictive patterns pull us away from peace of mind. You will always be annoyed if you look at what separates you from others.

• Focus is very important in everything we do.
• God is not a separate deity or entity, but the all-encompassing force of Life and Love.

The Principles of Healing

On a podcast from "A Cloud Does Not Put Out the Sun," they were discussing Jon Mundy's 25 principles of healing. I wrote them all down, simplifying and shortening a couple of them. Here they are:

1. One illness is not harder to heal than another.
2. The healer’s sole responsibility is to accept atonement for himself.
3. You heal by seeing past the patient’s ego and sick beliefs, as well as your own.
4. You heal by realizing that you don’t have to change the patient.
5. You heal by seeing the patient’s body and its sickness as unreal.
6. To heal, it is necessary to understand the mind’s purpose in making the body sick.
7. To heal, it is necessary to understand the fear of healing.
8. The patient is not a victim of a dangerous world, but is the commander of his situation, the dreamer of his dream.
9. The proper aim of healing is not the body, but the mind.
10. The patient is the same as you and one with you.
11. The patient is your equal.
12. You are not in a position to direct the process or judge the outcome. The Holy Spirit is the only healer.
13. You do not give the patient something from outside of her; you merely help her connect with the wholeness already within.
14. There is something in you that will tell you what each brother needs. You must not demand, decide, nor sacrifice- only listen and you will find the answer.
15. Do not doubt the power in you.
16. Healing occurs when, in a holy instant, you step outside your normal frame of reference.
17. You heal by forgiving the patient. The process that takes place in this relationship is actually one in which the therapist, in his heart, tells the patient that all his sins have been forgiven him.
18. You heal by aiding the patient’s own forgiveness processes.
19. Your true perception is what heals, not your behaviors, your words, your hands, or the energy you move around.
20. Calling on Jesus is part of the healing, but not because this is a magical invocation.
21. You heal through your happiness. Those who attempt to heal without being wholly joyous themselves call forth different kinds of responses at the same time, and thus deprive others of the joy of responding wholeheartedly.
22. Healing others is not a sacrifice- it is the road to happiness. There is a tendency to assume that you are being called on constantly called on to make sacrifices for those who come.
23. The healers reward lies not in demands or ingratitude but in the giving itself, which reinforces the healer’s own healing. An unhealed healer waits for something in return, and so he cannot give nor heal.
24. If symptoms persist, trust that the patient receives the healing- do not repeat it.
25. Self-doubt and self-concern represent a reliance on the false self.

All of the principles are simple- they are 25 different ways to say the same thing. This is basically what they say: There is no order of difficulty in healing, and you heal by knowing that you are the same, equal, and one with the patient. The mind is the focus in true healing, and the body is the focus in magic.You must forget the random judging of the ego and the belief in sickness, and instead be fearless and doubtless. You must not expect a result or make any demands (like money) or you will be unable to heal. You must understand that there is wholeness within each one of us, and that you must listen to the Holy Spirit that is within you if you want to perceive correctly. You know that we are not the victims but the commanders of our situations, and that you are able to heal through forgiving your false self and the false selves of others.

Teachings of the Gospel of Thomas

Below are significant teachings from the Gospel of Thomas. Some of them are similar to those from the New Testament, and others are completely new. Enjoy.

· God’s Divine Rule is within you and you are everywhere. When you know yourself, you will be known, and you will understand that we are one.

· There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed.

· What goes into your mouth will not defile you; rather, it’s what comes out of your mouth that will reveal you.

· The dead are not alive, and the living will not die.

· Fortunate is the one who stands at the beginning: that one will know the end and will not taste death.

· When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so the male will not be male and the female will not be female… then you will enter the Kingdom.

· You see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but you do not see the log that is in your own eye. When you take the log out of your own eye, then you will see clearly enough, to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

· I stood in the world and found them all drunk, and I did not find any of them thirsty. They came into the world empty, and they seek to leave the world empty. But meanwhile they are drunk. When they shake off their wine, they will open their eyes.

· If a blind person leads a blind person, both of them will fall into a hole.

· The lilies neither toil nor spin.

· When you take your clothes off without guilt, and you put them under your feet like little children and trample them, then you will see the son of the living one and you will not be afraid.

· Be passersby.

· A servant cannot serve two masters.

· Fortunate are those who are alone and chosen, for you will find the Kingdom. For you have come from it, and you will return there again.

· The new world you are looking forward to has come, but you don’t know it.

· You have disregarded the living one who is in your presence, and have spoken of the dead.

· Look to the living One as long as you live. Otherwise, when you die and then try to see the living One, you will be unable to see.

Desteni Productions

I have encountered a very interesting organization over the internet called "Desteni," which interviews people experiencing the afterlife. On every video of it's youtube page, you see the same girl, but apparently different people. She calls herself "Winged," while all the people who she claims to channel go by their names they had on earth. There are currently about 500 of their videos posted on youtube, from many, many different people. But is it really how they claim it to be, or is it just the girl?

First, it is necessary to observe her life-situation. Winged says that when she was 16, her mother died, and her father quickly married a new woman named Erika, only 8 months later. Winged says that Erika later became a controlling woman, having to keep everything perfect in the house and getting constantly angry at Winged. At one point, Winged had to leave her family because she no longer felt comfortable living with Erika. She then lived and worked at a coffee shop, while temporarily stumbling into drugs and alcohol. One day, there was a customer that Winged met at the coffee shop, who she refers to as "Eagle," and he said, "your mother is proud of you." Winged burst into tears, since she was always thinking of her mother ever since she died, even though it seems impossible that Eagle can actually contact the dead. Eagle later offered a job to Winged, and she accepted without even knowing what she was asked to do. Winged was then introduced to how to interact with the dimensions, helping demons to realize who they really are, and cleaning away all unnecessary forces and systems affecting human beings. Once she learned how to leave her body, she was able to explore the dimensions while other beings can use the body as a portal so they can be interviewed.

Through watching the Desteni videos produced by Winged and Eagle, one can find out that an interdimensional portal was created in 2004 that allows all beings to be interact and be incorporated into a single existence. Winged happens to be the first on the planet to make use of this, where beings were now able to use her body fully instead of just its head and neck. That's their explanation of why this is such a new thing to all of us. Well, does that mean it is true?

The Desteni videos show many different people being interviewed, like Aleister Crowley, Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison, Muhammad, Jesus, Satan, interdimensional beings, demons, systems and animals. You can tell that they all act different, explain it in their own way, and sometimes have unique voices (search for Lilly and Steve Irwin- then you'll know what I'm saying). Still, is it all made up?

Here's the breaking point: there is so much to learn from in the videos that there's no way it can be all a lie. They constantly mention the fact that we are "all one and equal," and that we are truly Life. Polarities, energies, emotions, feelings, separation, relationships, and thoughts are all systems. Systems are self-created illusions and can be erased, but they can become real and live through forgiveness and free choice, which is what Satan did (watch his video for more info). However, all beings that think they are systems are actually Life, including humans, demons, and interdimensional beings. This is what is being stated through the Desteni video series.

Now all of this information is in line with everything I have said on my blog, including my stance on demons, illusions, the afterlife, and reality. What is said on those videos can be very helpful if we are only to listen to them. And really, do you think that 500 videos can be made with false information and accurate imitations of people that have recently died? Those who try too hard to deny it instead of listening to the advice will likely be expressing these above explained systems. I encourage everyone to search for the videos from Winged and any others that seem interesting to you, and watch them without prejudice. Also realize that if you take a holy text or a channeled text, you are never completely sure what its source actually is. Nevertheless, you will surely learn something, just as you might with the Bible, A Course in Miracles, or any other similar document.

The HS (Holy Spirit)

The HS is a very important part of the Trinity, since it stands out from all other religions. Hinduism has identical terms for the Father and the Son (Brahman and Atman), but they don't have a name for the Counselor of God. However, the Christian term "Holy Spirit" can apply to any spiritual being that works towards guiding man back to the oneness of God. But why is the Holy Spirit so important to us? How does the HS work?

The HS can appear in many different ways. He will appear to you in a way that is most helpful to you specifically. Ascended Masters or angels might be sent to help you, or perhaps a Voice. The realized Son of God, or the Christ, takes on the role of the HS as well. This makes the HS the "go-to-guy" for all of your problems.

A unique teaching from ACIM (A Course in Miracles) explains a lot about the HS and time. You can imagine the HS standing at the end of time, walking as fast as he can towards you without frightening you. The HS will give you as much time as you want to reach eternity, but the question is: how long do you really want to wait? Time is really a tool for the ego while eternity is of God, the HS's job is to guide you into eternity. This means that there are two options in time: choosing the ego's script, which plans to extend time, and the HS's script, which plans to shorten it.


Your actions in this life are not really being decided upon in the present moment, but were already planned out by the ego. The only thing that you can do is start listening for the HS and forgiving. Here's the catch: there are alternate time lines that you can move through, those of the ego being longer and those of the Holy Spirit being shorter. Through forgiveness, you will learn lessons that might have taken much longer to learn with the ego, but since you have learned them through forgiveness, you will switch over to the HS's shorter script.

As you can see, there are really only two choices, even though it might seem like many: its either the ego or the Holy Spirit. The HS is any voice that calls for unity and the ego is any voice that calls for separation. Here is J (Jesus) hinting at his relationship with the HS:

John 16:5-15 "Now I am going to him who sent me, yet none of you asks me, 'Where are you going?' Because I have said these things, you are filled with grief. But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you."

I will briefly talk about how the HS works versus the ego. The Kingdom of God works through knowledge, and both the ego and the HS bring about different perceptions. The ego offers false perception, and the HS offers true perception. True perception works brings you closer to knowledge, and false perception brings you closer to illusion, and away from knowledge. Therefore, the HS is your only guidance towards God's reality.

Demons

Demons are such a controversial thing that I must talk about it in more detail. We must all have a correct view of demons (even thought it might not be my view) because otherwise we will always feel affected by them. Thinking about demons bring about negativity, dis-ease, and sometime pain. I will now discuss different opinions on demons or satanic entities.

Around the time of 700 BC, demons were viewed more as what we might call daemons, or benevolent beings. They would guide and serve man. It later became known solely as an evil force instead of a helpful one, as it is believed today. There are some Christians that believe any unseen force or being to be a demon, causing themselves to constantly be afraid. On an earlier post I talked about a man that saw the demons chasing him in his waking life, in addition to having painful, vivid nightmares. The question remains: are they real, or are they an illusion that we have brought about ourselves?

Archangel Michael claims that he will slay thousands of demons for you. That sounds nice, but are these demons actual souls calling for help? I doubt it, since Michael has such a powerful healing presence that he wouldn't hurt any real soul. This must be self-made demons that he is slaying, which sounds almost identical to the ego. They aren't us, but we made them from our discord and negativity.

How the New Testament explains demons might sound like they are powerful and have control over you, but it also sounds a lot like the ego. When Jesus stopped a demon from giving away his identity, he removed it from the man. This was also done when the Apostle Peter objected to Jesus being crucified, Jesus responded, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men." He said this in a way that was not directed towards Peter, but more towards dismantling his ego.

The only evidence against the other Judeo-Christian scripture is from the Book of Enoch. Enoch, the first man in recorded Jewish history to ascend, focused on demons in his writings. One of his biggest statements is that Satan (or a demon) can take physical form in a human body. This supports the idea of the Anti-Christ, but it can bring about fear and hatred of others. This could possibly mean that some one's ego is so destructive that they can bring about the extremes of the one ego (Satan, if you like that word) so that they might be called the Anti-Christ. In all cases, however, a demon needs a host, so the embodied soul is merely identifying with his ego when that isn't who he truly is. Still, if it was really a soulless manifestation or actually a man, the only way to take hold of this force in any situation is through love and will.

Since separation isn't true in reality, that gets rid of making anything real that desires separation. We might be identified with the ego (or demon, per se), but it is still not who we are. Therefore, slaying demons is really slaying nothing, and exorcism brings about a less harsh ego, you could say. We are not the victims in life, but the commanders. We have power to tread over serpents and scorpions, so we are really in complete control over our own lives. Demons cannot hurt you unless you believe them to be true, because they wouldn't seem to exist without your belief. I conclude from the above evidence that demons are egos and that Satan is the one ego, but neither have any control over you whatsoever because they are your own illusions!

Controversies of Christ

Today I have compiled quite a lot of quotes from the New Testament that make up the Christian doctrine. I believe this to be very important scripture, but I also think that the common interpretation of these quotes cause many problems, destroying all of their spiritual significance. There are a few issues here, the subjects being "the one and only Son of God", the atonement's seeming relation to the crucifixion, and making "disciples of all nations."

John 10:34-37 "Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are gods'? If he called them 'gods,' to whom the word of God came—and the Scripture cannot be broken— what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, 'I am God's Son'? Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does."
Matthew 5:9 "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God."

This first quote remains unmentioned by nearly all Christian churches around the world. It reminds us that we are, in reality, much grander than we think we are. Jesus shows that he can truthfully say that he is the Son of God because of this declaration in the Book of Psalms. Anyone can say the same exact thing, but the difference is that Jesus undoubtedly knows it's true because of his personal experiences. You can call yourself the Son of God if you do God's Will, living as a "peacemaker."

Galatians 3:25-27 "You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ."

Here we see that we are can only call ourselves the Son of God if we have "faith in Christ Jesus," which means having Christ consciousness. Jesus is the first person to be identified as the Christ, making him the model or perfect expression of Christ. We do not need faith specifically in Jesus, but really in anyone who has "clothed themselves with Christ."

Matthew 17:5 "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!"
John 10:30 "I and the Father are one."

This first quote of the two is from the Transfiguration, and it shows how it is possible to be aware of God's Love so much that His voice is audible. God doesn't love Jesus any more than He loves us, but since Jesus realized that he and His "Father are one," communication is easy.

John 1:29 "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"
Matthew 20:18-19 "We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will turn him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!"

These are great passages, but I believe they have been misinterpreted and misused in the Christian dogma. The "Lamb of God" statement has been taken literally when related to the crucifixion: people think of it meaning that Jesus was a sacrifice, but Jesus never claimed it was so. "Lamb of God" refers the traditional sacrificing ritual and how it was believed to take away sin, bringing about at-one-ment. But John the Baptist did not say "Look, the Lamb of God that will be sacrificed for the forgiveness of original sin!" The Bible never mentions "original sin"! It is purely Christian dogma. Jesus is the Lamb of God because he "takes away the sin of the world" through forgiveness! ACIM teachers like to answer WWJD (what would Jesus do) with forgiveness; who would ever say sacrifice was the answer? Since he is the Forgiver, he is the at-one-ment. This is why he claims he is one with the Father.

When Jesus predicted his death for the millionth time in that second passage, he said that he will be crucified, not for for forgiveness of original sin, but to "be raised to life"! Since this has never happened in the recorded history of the Bible, it says a lot about his oneness with the Father. This was done in order to demonstrate the imperishability and immortality of the spirit, and was also a great conclusion to his legacy. I have to question, "why do people focus on the "atonement" (which is a false definition for at-one-ment) instead of the resurrection?"

Luke 9:23-24 "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it."

Unfortunately, "take up your cross daily and follow me" has been interpreted as preaching the faith and converting everyone. But really, what good does that do? The passage is about being a servant- being defenseless instead of dwelling in the duality of defense and attack. Attempt to "save your life," and you "will lose it." I named my blog the "Selfless Self" because this is what both Jesus and Buddha preach. If you "lose your life," which basically means lose your ego or your life-situation, then you will actually save your life. You must "take up your cross daily" by being tenacious and consistent on the path to God. Selflessness, love, and forgiveness are what Jesus wants you express daily, since that is what he did in his life.

John 3:16 "God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 14:12 "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father."

This "faith in Christ" teaching I talked about earlier in the post, and these two quotes help explain the concept better. Jesus had "faith in Christ," and this is how his "eternal life" was apparent through his resurrection, and how he was able to do miracles. Now, if we were to do this the same way, Jesus says we "will do even greater things" than he did, and we would not perish but have eternal life. We know when someone does not have true faith in Christ if they do not perish and they do miracles like Jesus did. Sound a little extreme? Well, some people on this planet have done just that; Babaji, Saint Germain, Sai Baba, and Maitreya are perfect examples of this.

Matthew 28:19 "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

And finally, the Great Commission. This passage has presently become a grand converting disaster mess uh-oh mishapping. Why do we always have to work through the ego instead of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit? We must make disciples of the Trinity, "baptizing" them and guiding them on their way to becoming expressions of the Christ.

To conclude, I must say this: lets get real, and avoid making something that isn't all-encompassing. Jesus Christ's teachings were definitely all-encompassing; Christian teaching is not. We are in desperate need of universality, making disciples of the Trinity instead of converters to Christianity. We must avoid connecting passages that bring about mayhem and corruption. By their fruits you shall know the believers in Christ, not by their ignorance, their ego, their dogma, their converting, or their cult attitude. And remember, "you are gods."

Faith is Just the Beginning

There are authors like James Fowler and M. Scott Peck that talk about the stages of faith, giving us an outline of spiritual progression. Their stages are grouped differently, but I would like to explain them in the way that makes most sense to me. I find this subject to be very helpful, because it explains what I've been going through. However, I noticed that once we reach the last stage of faith, we are only at the beginning of the "road less traveled."

As I see it, there are four stages of faith. The first is the Individualist, the second is the Idealist, the third is the Scientist, and the fourth is the Universalist. The stages do not take a certain amount of time to pass through; they can take a few weeks or even many lifetimes. It is possible that one could be stuck in one of them their whole life. I will now explain them to you so you can evaluate your own progression.

Stage 1: the Individualist. The Individualist worries only about themselves and doesn't have any ideals or morals. Infants are most likely on this stage, but adults can be on this stage as well. Individualists are usually fueled by addictions, such as sex, drugs, and alcohol. They are greedy and selfish. People will come out of this stage at one point, when they realize how painful their lives have become.

Stage 2: the Idealist. These people realize that they can't live without guidelines or their lives will fall apart, so they cling on to ideals and morals, doing things that they think are good to do. These people are usually very religious, but might possibly desire to be involved in the military or other similar organizations. The consequence of this stage is that Idealists are usually illogical and will deny anything that goes against their beliefs. Morals have been attained, but reasoning is gone.

Stage 3: the Scientist. I call this stage "Scientist" because it is mostly based on logic and reason, and they will not believe anything unless they see it for themselves. These people are usually agnostic or atheist, and they like to question everything. Blind faith will not work for them, so they are often very skeptic. The flaw of this stage is that their doubt and skepticism can send them tumbling into fear, and they will lose all sense of peace. They dislike the denying Idealists, but they start to blindly deny things themselves.

Stage 4: the Universalist. At this stage, the search for meaning becomes even stronger than it is when the Individualist becomes the Idealist. There is no prejudice and denying anymore, so they begin to search everywhere. Instead of using one religion to ridicule all others, they will investigate every viewpoint of the same essence. They will compare and harmonize religions instead of contrast them and point out differences. The Universalists discover the universal truth about everything, and attain this through their own personal experience. Fear and doubt is being replaced by love and peace. Once this stage is reached, the love and peace will intensify until the Universalist becomes a light to the world.

You might notice that stage 1 and 3 are both atheistic, while 2 and 4 are more spiritual. The difference between them is that 1 is immoral and 3 is based on reason, and 2 is religious while 4 is more spiritual. But the great thing is that you incorporate the best of every past stage into your present life. This means you can be an individual, you can have ideals, you can be scientific, and you can be universal. And even though stages of faith might be a short journey for you, it's not the end. Once this journey is done, the journey of Spirit begins.

Blind Reason

At this point, it should be obvious that it isn't that is the problem - it's how people use it or interpret it. Any major religion has the truth within it, but so often it becomes distorted through the ignorance of the common man. Faith becomes something that involves no spiritual or mystical experience at all, and that the beliefs are used to make others wrong. If any of us were to pick up one of the holy books, we would find that modern beliefs are only an interpretation of them and aren't necessarily true. Our responsibility is to bring logic into our religious and spiritual beliefs, because without that, it becomes blind reasoning.

Richard Dawkins has a documentary showing the "Root of All Evil" within religions, and even though he hasn't destroyed religion or spirituality itself, he has pointed out all of the strange things that people believe in. There was a principal of this school where every page of the student's textbooks had the words "Jesus" or "God" on them. The principal said that Divine Law is nothing if it didn't come from God. Dawkins, being an atheist, pointed out that we can have reasonable laws without them coming from a divine source, but the principal said he would be happy to break the Ten Commandments if God said not to do them. He wasn't even able to understand why God or Moses said not to do those things. If we kill, for example, we know that isn't a desirable thing to do because of all the hatred, fear, guilt, and pain that is involved on the killer's side. We know that hatred must be involved to intentionally kill someone, and hatred never feels good, even though we might be addicted to expressing it.

I also looked up what different religions think of forgiveness, and certain people within these different religions act a certain way because of how they interpret what their holy books say to do. For example, some Jews will not forgive others unless the debtor says sorry for doing what they did, and that is their only reasoning for forgiving. Some Christians forgive because they believe that God will forgive them for forgiving. Both of these reasonings are based on their interpretations of their holy scriptures. However, a Buddhist said, "If we haven’t forgiven, we keep creating an identity around our pain, and that is what is reborn. That is what suffers." This reasoning comes from experience and not religious interpretations, and is completely outside the fact that the man who said it was a Buddhist. This is only an observation that anyone can make, which uses logic for reasoning.

I noticed that some religious reasoning sounds a lot like what commercials do. We have commercials that say, "This is a great offer,"and this is enough to convince people to buy or use what is being commercialized. We should use our reasoning and find out why we should really do something, not because someone says so. People focus on what religions say is bad or good without considering it themselves. How are we to know when statements are reasonable if we only have blind reasoning?

What is God?

What is God? This is perhaps the most important question of all. Most people today just believe in God with their mind and reasoning, but haven't experienced Him. And if we haven't experienced Him directly, how are we supposed to know what He is like? How are we supposed to know if He really exists?

Something I have noticed about people's opinion of the afterlife with God's judgement is very black and white; very negative. It's either eternal hell for not believing in Him or eternal Heaven for believing in Him. They perceive God as someone who will smash your face into the floor if you have fallen to the ground or carry you to the top of the mountain because you took the first step. This view of God is one that depicts Him as being worse than man, and obviously worse than His Son, expressed through Jesus Christ. Is that possible? Can God's creation be greater than God Himself?

The view of God that must be banished from the minds of all men is that God is unforgiving. He is really much more than that. Not only is he forgiving, but he is so forgiving that He never holds grievances of any kind. He sees no sin, not even for an instant. He is Love, Light, Perfection, Bliss, Joy, etc. He never abandons us; it is only we that abandon Him. He is eternal, unchanging, and constantly the Highest Perfection.

What is wrong with Christian dogma is that it makes views of God that bring fear, hate, pride, guilt, and negativity. "I'm right and I'm going to Heaven, but he's wrong and will burn in hell." They have that grin of pride, being a "man of God." Don't we remember that that Jesus said, "Judge not, that you be not judged?" This means that by judging others, you inevitably judge yourself. The inverse is the same as well: if you feel like a sinner, guilty, and afraid of being sent to hell, you will see everything else the same way. This is the sickness of the mind that must be abandoned if we want to know God.

How do we know who's right? Which view is correct? It is impossible to find the right view through a concept of God - it can only be found through experience. We must quiet the mind in order to do so. Get rid of all emotions and thoughts from your ego, since it isn't really you. We have made up our reality and have forgotten God. Remember these quotes: "I AM THAT I AM," and "Be still, and know that I AM God." God is not found in the mind, and neither in the past or future. He is the Now, the Absolute Presence. You will not find Him if you aren't present. "Be still" means to stop activity of all kinds: physical, emotional, and mental. That is the only way you will find the spiritual. When you reach the point where you feel His Presence, His vibrational energy throughout your body, you no longer need to worry about what will happen after you die. You will already know.

From there, you will acknowledge as well that the One God in all religions is the same, formless God, and He isn't really male or female because he doesn't take any form. He is the Absolute, and is known as God, Brahman, Allah, Jehovah, Ahura Mazda, YHWH, and so much more.

God-Consciousness and Personalities

What the world needs to understand about our spiritual masters like Jesus, Buddha, and Krishna, is that they are all different personalities, but they are all at the same level of consciousness. The Christ-consciousness, Buddhic-consciousness, and Krishna-consciousness are identical. When Jesus said, "he who believes in Me has everlasting life," he did not mean believing in him as a personality, but as the Christ. Believing in Christ means to be in Christ-consciousness. And when you're Christ-conscious, you will indeed have everlasting life.

The same goes for Krishna. The Hindus call it Krishna-consciousness, and when they use that word, it doesn't mean that you are conscious of Krishna; it means that you are at the same level of consciousness as Krishna is. The Hare Krishnas believe that Krishna is the Supreme God. This is correct, but only as long as it isn't misinterpreted. This isn't talking about his individual, human personality. That is only symbolic in the same way that Jesus symbolizes the Christ.

We also have Buddha. There is the Buddhic-consciousness (a term used in Theosophy), which all Buddhas have. Siddhartha Gautama was the first one to be called a Buddha, and therefore became symbolic as Buddha. However, the term was labeled upon at least 18 other people in history, such as Maitreya. Anyone can be a Buddha, but you must be awakened, since Buddha means "the awakened one." This is exactly what Buddhic-consciousness is, as well as all other names for God-consciousness. You can tell that they are the same because Maitreya has been called a Buddha and a Christ, in addition to Jesus, since he ventured into India as Issa (which means Jesus,) and they called him a Buddha! (Christians must also understand that there can be more than one expression of Christ, just as there is more than one expression of Buddha.)

God-consciousness is the "engine" and the personality is the covering.

God-consciousness is what is being pointed to in all of these different religions and movements. We are not talking about them as people to believe in; as personalities to be worshipped. These personalities should relate to their divine aspect, not to the personalities themselves. For example, if you were to focus on the productiveness of an automobile, you would not look at the outer form of the car. You would look at the engine, since it is the engine that determines how productive the car will be for driving. Consciousness is like the engine, and the personality is the outside appearance of the car. So if you have a car with a great engine, and you think of a car with a great engine, you will tend to think of your own car and its appearance. In the same way, if you're a Christian, and you think of Christ-consciousness, you will relate it to Jesus, who has Christ-consciousness. This is the only thing that the personalities serve for: visualization and relation to God-consciousness.

The Story of Creation

The story of creation is very important, because it determines how much power we have in and of ourselves, and how much God has thrusted upon us without our will. Many people believe that God created this universe, and some think it happened in seven days. God made the planet, the ocean, the land, the air, the fish, the birds, the insects, the animals, and humans. Some also believe that humans were given spirit after the bodies were made, because it says He "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being." This makes people think that only humans have spirit. After all of that, God gets upset with His creation and causes a flood, and blows up civilizations.

This isn't the story of creation that I would like to tell. That story I told above made the divisions of the creationists and the evolutionists, because the creationists jump up and automatically believe what they interpret from the bible. The belief that matter can exist without spirit is ridiculous. Why? Because animals and humans work in this world very similar, so much so that if you were to say that only humans have spirit, it could be very likely that we wouldn't because of this similarity. That is a belief that can only come from one has not experienced God's omnipresence. Also, the belief that God created the world means that we can be affected by God's will without our own permission. If he did create the world, how do we know he's not a tyrant? All these horrible things that happen on our planet are never prevented by God, and it seems like he doesn't care for us. Is God really careless, possibly even worse than man?

Nope. It is all a misinterpetation. First of all, we are not truly humans, and we were not force into form without our will. Actually, it is completely our will. Before time was, eternity is. In eternity, we know we are formless, one with God our Creator. It is a state of complete perfection, bliss, love, and light. So God has always offered everything to everyone, but He will not go against our own will. Once we, the Son of God, had a "tiny mad idea," God let us learn from it so we know how important it is to be one with our Father. We made the illusion of separation, therefore the beginning of the ego. Our wills were similar, but slightly different. We were very spiritually advanced, and we were the ones who made this universe of separation. We created denser and denser planes until we made the physical plane, experimented around with matter, and projected ourselves into matter in order to sense our world. This experimentation is what we call evolution, because it took a while to realize the simplest design for our bodies.

Unfortunately, this led to us forgetting our divinity and our Father, which is known as the "Fall of Man," where we see dualities like "good and bad" instead of unity. We forgot how to leave our bodies, and started seeking pleasure in the material world. The bliss and love of God we are now unaware of, and this is where humanity is right now. The source of all these negative, painful things that happen to us come from ourselves, and not from God. God will not interfere with our will, because He wants us to be in control. However, He still offers everything to everyone, and He will never stop doing that because He is eternal.

So is this making of ours real? If it was, then God would have created it, and he would be forcing all of this pain and suffering upon us. However, God is not separate from all that is, even if it isn't real. Everything we made is still God in reality, but our minds are what have caused our forgetfulness. We have fallen asleep. God always wills the best for us, and we must remember our Father if we want to find perfection and to be happy.

Christianity in Light

After going from Christian to atheist, it is very likely that you might be a Christian again. But just as there are two types of atheists, there are two types of Christians. The first type of Christian would believe some of the things that I mentioned in the post "Christianity in Darkness," and the second type of Christian would not take on any of the beliefs on that post. The former is against other religions, and possibly other denominations of their own religion as well. The latter Christian has a universal standpoint, in harmony with other religions. Interestingly enough, their beliefs can be in harmony with other religions, and they can also have their own Christian beliefs that are different from other belief systems.

These Universal Christians believe in the Trinity, the Christ, the Second Coming, the Atonement, and forgiveness, just as all Christians do, but these are seen in a different way than it is understood today. In the Trinity, we have the Father in Heaven, who knows only the unity of His creation. His Son is one with Him, but He knows that His Son has forgotten this. Ever since the Son of God fell asleep, He sent His Holy Spirit to quietly wake the Son. The Son of God is truly all of us, all consciousness in the physical world. It is not only Jesus, as it is commonly believed.

Throughout his own life, Jesus eventually reached the realization of the Christ, and became the anointed one. He was able to say that he is the Christ, the Son of God, because he knew it from his experience of oneness with his Father. "I and my Father are one." Jesus tries to remind us that we are the same, and it is only these Universal Christians that recognize this. We are the only begotten Son of God, we are the Christ, we are one with our Father.

The Second Coming is already here, but it will only be seen when the Christ-consciousness arises in the minds of men. We are the Second Coming, and Jesus was just an example, just a little sample, of the Coming of Christ. When we realize the Christ is here already, and that it is none other than ourselves, we will have the Atonement, or the at-one-ment. Our sins will be forgiven, because we will realize the Christ is sinless.

Forgiveness is known to the Universal Christian as acknowledging that there was no sin, because the Son of God cannot sin. Whenever we see sin, it is really an illusion of fear and separation, and is not real. By thinking that it is real, we replace the reality of how God created us, as the Son of God, with our own false identity as sinners. We do not forgive sin by seeing that everyone as a sinner, but by seeing everyone as the sinless Son of God. New Atheists have acknowledged that error.

But what is God? Is he a tyrant? Does He get angry and screw up, killing humans? Is he a hateful God? Does He crucify Jesus in order to forgive as Atonement? No. God does not make demands that the ego would make, for fear, pain and separation. The reason for Jesus' crucifixion was to show the immortality of the Son of God. It was needed to demonstrate the power of resurrection, and the choice to be crucified was chosen by Jesus and not thrown upon him by God. If God did do so, we would forget Him. And we have! What is God? He is Perfection, Love, Light, Joy, Peace, and All-Power, All-Will, and All-That-Is. He is the oneness, and it is only He that exists. He is not separation, fear, hate, or any negativity or foolishness at all!

Since Christians throughout history have tried to destroy the harmony and unity of religions to make themselves right, we have made many errors in the Christian religion. There were enough people that found evidence of Jesus going to India, Tibet, and other such places on the way during his "lost years," from 13 to 30. He taught karma and reincarnation instead of God destroying and punishing, and torturing people in hell for eternity. Still, the Christians fight to be right and become illogical, while the Universal Christians use logic and unity, holding love and light in mind at all times. They accept the universal unity, and don't care about being right. They just want to be happy. Great, we could say they're wrong, and that wouldn't matter. You would still be oblivious to God's love while the Christians "in the Light" would be soaked in it.

The Cleansing Atheists

When becoming an atheist, people usually have to go through what modern Christians believe in, as I have shown in the last post. Becoming an atheist can actually be a progression for your spiritual life, or it could not. That's why there are only two types of atheists: those who are selfish and want to do whatever they want, and those who are rational, use logic, and have morals. The former type of atheist is usually less advanced spiritually than the Christians who believe the things I mentioned in the last post. However, believe it or not, the latter group of atheists are usually more advanced than those Christians, even though they don't believe in God!

It is the latter group that I am going to be talking about, those that call themselves New Atheists. Everybody goes through this stage at some point, even though it might not be very long. But it can be very helpful, since it acts as a "cleansing" of all false, ignorant beliefs of religion. The stage is very interesting however, because it can completely destroy a lot of the beliefs that most people have today in our culture, but it can't eliminate everything from religion. The core truths of religion live on. You can notice that these atheists are really only disagreeing with what religion has shown them, but they are almost completely unaware of the universal spiritual path.

Some Christians are apparently afraid of the Cleansing New Atheists.

I remember that about a year ago, I started questioning everything believed in Christianity and didn't care what people thought. I always had a slight feeling beforehand that some Christian beliefs were kind of weird, but I didn't start becoming critical until last year. There were some things that I didn't know for sure if they were true or not, but since I noticed so much false doctrine, I tried to deny the religion as a whole. However, I know that this is impossible to do, because as I tried doing that, life had no meaning at all and I fell into chaos and paranoia. But now, I have had too much experience in spirituality to deny it all, but I noticed that that stage of atheism worked as a "cleansing" device, as I said earlier.

Amazingly, I realized you could truly identify yourself as an atheist and be quite spiritually advanced. Atheism is anti-theism, or against the belief in God. It isn't necessary to believe in God to be spiritual, and it could actually be better not to. One of the main problems today is that people just choose to believe in things because it makes sense to them, or they just want to believe in something. But when they do that, they might never have any experience with what they believe in. So what is so great about simple religions like Buddhism is that it gets down to business, showing you exactly what to do in order to experience it all for yourself. Buddhists don't believe in God, but their mystics still experience the same as what Christian mystics do. It is better to know God the way mystics do, like through meditation, than to believe in Him as an idea in your mind; things that you've heard about in the Bible or heard from other sources.

God has become so distorted through religious beliefs, and that's why these New Atheists are against it. God has become a tyrant that demands Jesus to be sacrificed for the forgiveness of our sins, because otherwise he wouldn't forgive us. He blows up cities, brings floods, hurricanes, and natural disasters in attempt to destroy us. He is a "jealous God." This is what these atheists are against. They abandon these ridiculous religious beliefs and become "cleansed." The next step is to discover what true Christians refer to when they use the word "God"; what this Source really is.

Christianity in Darkness

Christianity is the religion that is most followed worldwide, with about 2 billion adherents, which is about one third of the world's total population. Jesus the Christ is likely the most influential person in the past two thousand years, which explains why there are so many followers. However, the mainstream Christians have distorted Christ's teachings so much that they have been doing more harm to themselves and others than good. The people have brought themselves into a state and feeling of powerlessness, and have become too much concerned with "evil" and have forgotten about the true spiritual aspect of their religion.

Most Christians now are too focused on being the right ones and making everyone else wrong, and have forgotten that their religion is supposed to be a path to happiness. They have distorted Christianity enough to make it look different from other religions, and they have fought to keep it that way. They have come to believe that you can only be saved by believing in Jesus, and if you don't, then you'll be sent to hell. If you never heard of Jesus before, too bad, apparently you're still going to hell.



The meaning of the Trinity has been changed as well. We have the Father, Who forces Jesus to be crucified as the only way to forgive the sins of mankind. We have the only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, Who is supposed to be the salvation for us sinners. And the Holy Spirit, Who only dwells within "faithful" Christians and no-one else. This Trinity is really supposed to explain all that God is, and if this modern belief of the Trinity that I have explained is correct, we don't really exist because we aren't even on the Trinity. We're just a bunch of sinners.

We also have the problem with Satan. Satan is believed to be just as powerful as God, even though they don't admit it. He creates the "spiritual" dualism of good and evil. Some denominations of Christianity don't practice contemplative prayer (meditation) because if they were to quiet the mind, Satan would instantly take over their body. They believe they aren't even allowed to be, because they are so powerless that they can't take hold of themselves in the present moment. They need to live in their mind-world in order to be safe. They are always afraid because they believe Satan and demons really do exist, and since their minds made it up, and they always dwell in their minds, then there's no escape. They think that the best way that Satan will trick you is by trying to make you believe that he isn't real.

There is also our salvation with Jesus Christ. Some modern Christians believe that, before Jesus, we were still spellbound by the Fall of Man and Original Sin, and that we couldn't even escape it if we tried. We were helpless, but we got lucky when all of a sudden, Jesus came! When Jesus said, "I am the lamb of God, which takes away the sins of the world," he was trying to fulfill the law, and take us away form our belief that we are sinners. Even though he says that we are gods, people think that the "lamb of God" statement meant that his crucifixion was a sacrifice for relieving us of our sins. There are also Christians that emphasize the Second Coming of Christ and misinterpret it. When Jesus said that the Kingdom of God has already arrived, but we are ignorant of it's presence, the same goes for the Second Coming. Yet, people keep checking the time, waiting around for Christ without making any spiritual progress.

What kind of faith do we want for the next generation? I don't want to believe in this modern form of Christianity. If I did, I would probably be manic right now. This looks like a helpless, hopeless, powerless belief system, where we separate from God and forgive by thinking, "It's okay, I'm a sinner, too." I am not approaching a religion to see everyone as sinners, possessed by a demon, or waiting around for the Messiah again. I am not going to believe in something that says there is a Trinity of All-That-God-Is, and we aren't even in that Trinity. I don't want to believe in something that gives me no choice. How can I make any spiritual progress if it is not under my control, and that I can't decide to accept God into my life or not, whenever I want?

Defenselessness

All of our great religious and spiritual teachings tell us to be defenseless. Jesus tells us to "turn the other cheek," and in A Course in Miracles, it says "In your defenselessness your safety lies." When we pose neither an attack nor a defense, we are past all dualities. We no are no longer unsafe.

This can be seen in the fact that if we were downtown and in the midst of the homeless, posing a defense or an attack, they would respond to it by counteracting it. If we were to walk by without being afraid, not defending, and not attacking, no one would ever identify you as a threat or a subject to an attack. In the movie "Capote," the criminal explains that he was planning to steal from a rich family, he did not plan to kill anyone. But when he saw the father of the family, looked him in the eyes, and saw deep fear there, it invoked something inside himself, urging him to murder him. And so he did, but the man could have made it out alive if he remained unmoved.

In Hinduism, we see the Bhagavad Gita's explanation and reasoning for war. Arjuna admitted to Krishna how he was completely unprepared he was to wage war against his family members while he was also in bad shape and exhausted. He said he didn't care if he lost or won, and he wasn't attached to the results of winning. Krishna responded by telling him that death and the body are illusions covering the eternal reality of the Self, so killing was not an issue. Also, since Arjuna was unmoved by gain or loss, it is essentially the same as defenselessness, where you are unmoved into attack or defense. Therefore, he has transcended all dualities.

We can also see how in Mahatma Gandhi's response to war, he sent his armies out in the field without any weapons, without defense. They walked straight towards the enemy, and pretty quickly the enemy surrendered. This is the power and safety of defenselessness clearly demonstrated.

It is only old ideas like "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" and Satanism's teaching of "do unto others as they have done unto you" that have completely lost sight of this great wisdom of the power of defenselessness. Again, this practice is seen done by Jesus when he did not defend against being crucified, and after death, he was resurrected back into a body. It looks to me like he was as safe as can be.

The Plan of Evolution

When we think of evolution, we should avoid thinking of the physical body and its brain, because that suggests that we are the body, and that God is causing this evolution without our will. The truth is that we are causing the evolution, keeping the traits that benefit us, discovering new tools, and abandoning old habits. At this point, our physical bodies do not have to change, since they have become perfected through our reasoning of what is really beneficial. Brain size isn't an issue because, currently, we only use 10% of it. What we need to learn to do is raise our consciousness to the point that we use 100% of our body's brain.

In reality, we are not the body or the mind. We are the Presence, the sense of "I AM," and it is very important not to get lost in our minds or the materialistic world. By doing so, we forget who we are and become afraid, mesmerized by our ego, and lose all the joy of being. By realizing our true Self, we will begin to continue on our path of evolution back to God.

We are not the highest evolved beings in existence, even though we are barely aware of it. It is very similar to dogs being aware of humans, but still not understanding the life of a human. There are five kingdoms that exist: the mineral, the vegetable, the animal, the human, and the spiritual. Every succeeding kingdom, is much more complicated, much more powerful, much more knowing, and much more conscious. Everything is conscious, but not necessarily self-conscious. The human kingdom is the first in the path of evolution to be self-conscious, but the spiritual kingdom is God-conscious.

Every kingdom will move on to the higher kingdoms until, eventually, they reach all the way back to the unity with God. God guides all the kingdoms back to Him, and it would be impossible for us not to make it back to Him at some point. However, the higher kingdoms similarly contain and guide the lower kingdoms: Minerals guided by vegetables, vegetables by animals, animals by humans, and humans by the divine. They will all assist each other as they evolve and replace each other, and nothing will be left behind without assistance. For example, as humans move towards the spiritual kingdom, animals will have already begun moving towards the human kingdom.

Sanat Kumara, the "Ancient of Days"

An example of the spiritual kingdom assisting the human kingdom is Sanat Kumara, the "Ancient of Days," who had to pass many initiation to be responsible for the evolution of planet earth and embodying it. Sanat Kumara is our Planetary Logos, and even above him is Vywamus, our Solar Logos, responsible for the evolution of our solar system. These beings used to be humans with our same level of consiousness, several millions of years ago. There are more roles higher than that, going beyond even our universe. This is where we are eventually going to evolve towards and be initiated into.

This takes a very long process - yes, obviously more than one lifetime. It does say in the Bible, that you live once, die, and then comes judgement. This means that, after death, you review your life and prepare for the next one. The Bible doesn't say that you don't live more than once, and it is unfortunate that the Council of Nicaea in 553 CE removed the main traces of reincarnation from the Bible. However, if you were to read the Bible, there are many times where it suggests reincarnation. (Examples would be Abel > Seth, Elijah > John the Baptist, and Elisha > Jesus.) Life continues on in different forms, in the same way that you get a test at school, fail it, but get a different test later to try your best on. There is never a permanent "game over," and life continues on until you evolve all the way back to unity with God.
