Time and Eternity

You cannot use time to reach eternity. These are mutually exclusive, and only one of them is true. Eternity is the true form of God, which means that there is only eternity. The rest is illusory. You don't reach eternity by the death of the body. You can't use your past to reach eternity, and you will never be in eternity in the future. The only gate to eternity is through the present.

Our thoughts are always relating either to the past or future, as everything we see right now comes from past experiences. The ego uses time by rewrinting the past in the future, which means that it will control our destiny as long as we identify with it. Your whole life will go by like this unlees you stay in the now. Focus on what you feel in your body, as well as the unchanging. Instead of listening to what you hear, listen to the unerlying silence. If you have pain in your body, avoiding it and making a problem out of it will make it grow. All you have to do is feel it without labeling it, and eventually it will dissolve into bliss through being present.

Presence always comes from the inner world, where eternity is. This is why yogis can meditate for hours without being aware of the passing of time. That's because only the outer world runs on time. If you like time, don't be present. The ego will take care of you, making you stressed, angry, upset, afraid, and controlled. You will be aware of the passing of time, and will worry about the past and future. Just to let you know, time will be there as long as you want it. If you're not present, however, the ego will take the past, and jump right over the present, into the future. Do you like your past? If you think about it a lot, it will happen again in a different form.

You don't even know what eternity will be like until you can stay present. Once you find out what you really are in the present moment, you won't worry about staying that way for eternity. You are finally aware of your completeness, perfectness, your holiness, and your wholeness. You will know God's love, peace, bliss, and joy for eternity in heaven. So, you can identify with the ego and stay in time, or you can find eternity through the Self by staying present!
